Hi there!
The name is Jamie. Or Callisto. I even have the nickname of 'Custom'. I'm still trying to work out how I got that one. Call me what you will, I don't mind.
Gaming History
So where did all this begin? In 1994. Yep. I've been a 'gamer' for 16 years and counting. Pretty long time, eh? Anyway, back in 1994 is where my 'career' in games began, back on the Sega Master System II. There are too many games that I played on that console that I can't recall (seeing as I was 4 years old at the time). Ones that do spring to mind are Alex Kidd, California Games and multiple scrolling-spaceship shooters.
From Kindergarten (1995) to 2nd Grade (1997) All of my gaming was played on the 16-bit Sega Mega Drive. I played Sonic The Hedgehog to absolutely no end, and the Streets Of Rage series took up a lot of my time as a youngin'. To this day the Sega Mega Drive still houses my favourite game of all-time, Sonic The Hedgehog 2.
A very happy moment in my gaming life happened when I had a stellar school report in 2nd grade. My parents were very pleased and as a result at the end of 1997 I was a proud owner of a brand new Nintendo 64. This console has provided me with countless hours of enjoyment, and to this very day it still does. Just ask when was the last time I played Marioparty 1, you'll be quite surprised. Across the N64 I have played just about all of it's flagship titles: Marioparty, The Legend Of Zelda: Ocarina Of Time, Super Mario 64, Super Smash Bros, 1080 Snowboarding, Diddy Kong Racing just to name a few. Super Smash Bros and Super Mario 64 I enjoyed so much that I have downloaded both of them onto my Wii. This brillant console only got outdated by one of the first Xbox 1 consoles in 2002.
The original Xbox. We got this console in a particulalry strange way - it was a wedding present to my parents from my mother's cousin. None the less, it was then in which I had my first contact with Halo: Combat Evolved. I thooughly enjoyed the campaign. I really liked the multiplayer, but I always won because none of friends had the Xbox at that time. As the years passed I ended up organising a 16-player Halo 1 LAN and it was simply brilliant. Halo 2 came out and I jumped on it, playing it stupidly thinking that the dual-wielding ability was the greatest feature of the whole game. I've gotten a little wiser since then of course. I played a lot of other titles including Mechassault, Black, Amped, SW: KOTOR 1 & 2 and Fuzion Frenzy.
I was one of the first people to play Halo 3 in the world. Tagging along with some friends who went to a midnight launch I found myself enjoying what the game had to offer for a great portion of time. I played it on and off at friends' houses until I purchased my own Xbox 360 for my Birthday in 2009. It started with me playing Assassin's Creed, Enchanted Arms and Ninety Nine Nights before I actually bought Halo 3 to play for myself.
Not having the internet at my house, I would often go to my friends' (Gunta / Mutt's) house and play Halo 3 online. It was fun but not having the ability to play ranked at the same time got a bit irritating. So despite not having an internet connection at home I went and bought my one and only Xbox Live Membership. I selected the Gamertag AUS CaLLisTo because at the time simply 'Callisto' was already taken. I chose that alias as I liked that name, I took it from one of Jupiter's moons, and I wanted people to identify that I was from Australia (or Austria, as some thought).
That's all for the moment, I'll update this when I can.
