 Welcome Brigade to the Week in Review! Corporal Ventura here bringing you this weeks Week-in-Review. Scragg is out on Vacation, or so he says, but really I just locked him back in the closet cause he was stealing from Iris’s secret fridge again. And unlike Iris, I won’t be letting him out, sorry. Scragg is gone forever.
Announcements!
We only had one this week, but dang it was a pretty big one. Following up from last weeks announcement of the Brigades future with Reach, our boys up in High Command had a small chat about the specifics, and with this, we now have a whole new Brigade Structure. From now on Platoons are no more, gone, lost in space to never be rediscovered. It’s so saddening, isn’t it? But what, you would ask, will be put in the platoons place? I would then say Companies to respond to your question, but I don’t feel like it. From now on, there will be two companies, Alpha, and Bravo. For more information, refer to the thread in the announcements.

-Sparatic, our newest Sergeant, retired this week due to real life issues. He will be missed, and we will all be awaiting his return.
We all how close Halo Reach is, so why not send off Halo 3 with a bang? That’s what I thought. Only this bang will be long, and on Sandtrap. Actually, there won’t really be a bang, only the explosion of grenades. All VIP spots are filled, but check the date! You might still be able to make it. Find this in the Events section.

My boots are finally back on the ground! Seems like Serina got mad at me -for whatever reason- and gave my computer a virus that totally destroyed the motherboard. But, thanks to Canada Computers and a lot of perseverance; my motherboard has been replaced and my computer is better than ever!

Future of the Brigade: Halo Reach
-Discussed in this thread are what will happen as to Recruitment, Enlistment Requirements, Our Uniform, Halo 3 and finally MLG.
-Once you move, your emblem will stay the same. And it is preferred if you wear the ODST helmet. But it is not required until a Month after Launch.
-There will be a platoon solely for Halo 3. BUT; they will only be playing MLG, Sorry Second Platoon.
-There is a Predicted Explosion of New Recruits. So be ready.

Hello ladies.

Scragg Is almost back! Within the next few days, my computer will be fully operational and I will be fully active! Bet you can't wait either.
Announce this!
The recent suggestion by Iris and I has finally been put into effect. We now have the Grade rank Private First Class or PFC for short. These new PFCs do not have any authority, you just have more bragging rights. And a shiny new rank.
An update to the Battle Stories Rules. Now, all the chapters are in one thread, so check back regularly.
For example, Mark of the Ancients has gotten two new chapters. Chapter 7 - Bar Fight and Chapter 8 Dusted.
Finally, all important Maps and Gametypes are in the File Uplink. Located on the left side of the site.

G'Day Brigade! Corporal Callisto reporting for duty. Whilst Iris, 223 and Scragg have been in the week-long 'Secret Fridge Compromise Conference of 2010', an astonishing turn of events has transcended (in other words Ventura suggested it to me) and as a result a foreigner has been given permission to write this week's Week-In-Review. And boy what a week we've had. Let's get into it shall we?
~ Enlistment ~
To this moment we have 4 recruits in our presence, striving to become members of our stellar Brigade. They are:

Make sure that you wish every success in their enlistment, and with effort I'm sure we'll see these recruits become Privates in no time. Good luck recuits!
~ Promotions ~
We have had a *lot* of these in the past week. All of which are very well deserved. They are:
- Major Syphex: A true milestone in the history of the Brigade. You've worked your way up through the ranks and you've finally achieved the heights that we all expected you to attain. You are a brilliant leader and an inspiration to all of the personnel here. Well done.
- Sergeant Sparatic: Congratulations. You've proven yourself in 1st Platoon time and time again and this definitely a testimony of your ability to lead and to handle any situation. Great work.
- Corporal TheGuardianWolf: Great job! You've demonstrated that you have dedcation and maturity, and as such these traits didn't go unnoticed. Keep it up!
- Corporal Stricken: You've answered the call of 2nd Squad for a leader, and you've definitely stepped up to plate. I'm certain you'll bring the Europeans back on the Brigade Map and prove that the Europeans are a force not to be tooled with.
- Corporal Callisto: Well it'd sound very self-centered if I rambled on about this one. I'm happy to serve and be the official Squad Assistant of 3rd Squad, 3rd Platoon. Thanks to one and all.
~ Announcements ~
- File Uplink: Vitamin is clearly fed up with having to use his File Share as a 'Basic Training Access Port', now he's moved them over to the Uplink so you may download them from there instead. I'm pretty sure Vitamin is just making space in his File Share so he can post some of his glory moments.
- Donation Time: The call to the Brigade for some funding has been answered this week; all by members of 3rd Platoon! Special thanks go to Sgt. Engage, Cpl. Callisto and Pvt. Zelamin who all dipped into their pockets and donated $30 each to Brigades causes. Well done. If you still want to donate, Vitamin has opened the doors and is now taking donations for upcoming plans for the Brigade, so get involved! All donations are very welcomed.
~ Forum News ~
A number of interesting threads have been created this week, go and check them out! There's a lot of points for discussion here.
- When The Music Stopped: Elliot shares a story of some soldiers who still stand up for their national anthem even throughout technical difficulties. Very inspiring.
- Diversity Of Thinking Styles: Equinox discusses the different ways that people think and how certain would react to particular situations. Find out what style of thinking that you have!
- Artificial Intelligence: New Recruit TougeTuned points out updates in technology that revolve around the creation of AI. Seeing as this is a field of experince for Touge, he's very knowledgeable about it. Definitely worth a look see.
- Pets: Callisto wants to discover what pets the personnel of the Brigade have. At the moment it seems consensus that Man's Best Friend is the animal of choice.
- Halo Reach: The Battle Begins: Ventura posts up a Campaign trailer for Bungie's final installment of the Halo Series. It looks incredible. Definitely something to look forward to.
~ Media ~
A lot of new additions to the Media Wing this week, if you get a chance to I'd suggest having a look at:

- Animals As Leaders: Recruit Cashmere shows us an intersting brand of Instrumental Metal. Very Refreshing.
- Pirate Metal: TheGuardianWolf shows us a different side to the genre of Metal, very interesting.
= Videos =
- Luckiest Snipe Ever: Prime shows us probably one of the most incredible shots with a sniper in the history of Halo 3. I simply implore you to watch this.
- Halo 3 Glitch: Frantix shows us that there are even more reasons to be an Elite; they can become balloons! Check tutorial and see if you can do it yourself!
= Graphics =
- What?: Recruit Static Tags points out how easy it is to smack a shark without the obvious of it going all 'om nom nom' on your body. Who would of thought it'd be possible?
~ Final Notes ~
You may have noticed that there have a been a massive amount of discharges last week (dare I say perhaps a record), most of these were on the basis of Inactivity. So don't fall suspect to it! Make sure you don't fly under the radar.
Other than that, I believe that just about covers it for this week. Keep up the hard work, it's all paying off.

Hey everybody, it's your favorite Sergeant coming to you with the Week-In-Review. While I was out for a bit, I found out it was Scragg and 223 who were stealing from my secret fridge, so they're in the closet, bound and gagged to each other. Don't worry, I'll let them out when this is over with. So...let's see what's going on in our beloved Brigade, shall we?
Announcements and Forum Updates! Vitamin has made a number of announcements. Nothing extremely big, but still, worth noting. He's shown us new things that our site could have...but we can't. Now, for Recruits, there is now a drop-down box that can be used to select your sponsor and recruiter. Also, when you are now on a Leave of Absence, you can now simply click a button and you will be set back to being active again. "+1 step towards having everything being automated, and having officer not have to do anything," says Vitamin. Way to go and put more of the work on Serina. Real cool, man. As for his last announcement, he requests, but does not demand, donations for the site. We need to raise 80 USD. Check out the announcement thread for more details. Oh, and lastly, you might've noticed the three clocks to the left under the Calender. Vote for your favorite. And you might've seen that the forum icons have had a graphical revamp. Hurray for Vitamin's spare time.
Let's see...next up on the list are enlistments. Sadly, no new enlistments from last week. Get to recruiting, men! Who knows, you might walk away with a few ribbons on your chest.
Let's see...promotions...demotions...nothing. Maybe next week. Although I hope I don't see any demotions.

Lot's of music this week. Ventura and 223 seem to be having a music fight...and Equinox sings about his favorite officer, Syphex. Added to this mix of humor, are some serious songs which you might get into.
In the videos, our old friend, Drake, posts about a demonic clock. Not for the faint-hearted. Taxadox also posts a video of a rather large WoW player threatening Ex-Guildies. I would have been scared to death.
In Graphics...not much new stuff...except for Reactive's Halo Wars signature. Keep on photo-shopping bro.
Well, that's all for this Week-in-Review. I'm gonna go take a look in my secret stash...see if I can find anything to eat. Although...I can't stop feeling like I'm forgetting something...oh well. Iris, out.

Hahaha! I locked Scragg out. Now I get to do the week-in-review. This is our week and a month anniversary! Even though it's not universally accepted, it is now, because the week-in-review is special. Oh, so, so special.
It is so fun being repetitive, can't wait until the one year anniversary! I can just sense the excitement.
There are no announcements this week, so Vitamin and/or High Command may be cooking up a super-epic-mega-ultra announcement for later, or they are just busy. Either way, our High Command keeps us safe and happy. Unless they splatter us, that could hurt, then again, it could 'whip us into shape.' Unless we bleed out, well, its their loss.

Alright, let’s get this started. Wait, what? It’s already started? Crap.
New Personnel! New Recruits! New Platoon! New… other stuff! And not a lot of old. All here today in the Week-in-Review!
Boot Camp [ 6-23-10 ] went smoothly lead by Cpl. Iris. With both recruits in attendance and members of the Brigade as well. The two recruits passed and continued to complete all protocol.
I would like to give a warm welcome to our new personnel!

Fourth Platoon has been created! With Vitamin assuming command, he will be leading it with Cpl. Grakus Arkadius and Cpl. Scraggarax (yours truly) assisting him. If you have been selected for Fourth Platoon, give yourself a pat on the back and report to your wing immediately! “Fourth Platoon is a place of opportunity, a new platoon, new personnel, and a new environment. Fourth Platoon currently has no type affiliation, Major League Gaming, or Big Team Battle. Bungie Weekly Update 6.25.10 |

 Well, this week, Bungie decided to release a bunch of stuff.
This stuff includes information on bug squashing and the such, a little bit of statistics and this thing about a ZBR. I'm just guessing, but apparently ZBR is something that tests the game for bugs, prior to release, and according to Bungie, Halo Reach has zero bugs left, they've been squashed, but some get past the ZBR apparently. Hm...
They also told us about some interesting bugs they found that brought the lols. Here's one with the elite model that's actually pretty big.
Description:
UI: START MENU: ARMORY: MODEL: The feet don't rotate with the Elite when examining him.
Repro:
1. Launch the main menu.
2. Go into the Armory->Player.
3. Change the Preferred Species to Elite.
4. Zoom the camera out and rotate the Elite around.
Actual:
The Elite's feet/legs don't rotate with the pelvis.
Expected:
The entire Elite rotates.
This bug came to UI engineering because it involved the Armory. In this case I’m not sure what the problem ended up being, because it didn’t repro in later builds and we simply resolved as “No repro.”
Still, it provided some great laughs!
A few other bugs were mentioned, by Shiska, that guy who....does stuff with playlists I think. Regardless, I'm pretty sure a lot of people don't like him.
42748: The “Mongooses Only” vehicle set turned every vehicle object into a mongoose. The security cameras in Sword Base are technically vehicles so they can be made to move. Thus: “Mongooses Only” on Sword Base caused Gooses to hang out of the walls and ceilings of the map.
40750: A new tester submitted a bug that the Falcon could not be flown on a particular map, but instead would drag along the ground. Upon review of the bug it was determined that the Falcon itself was fine, but the tester was holding down the wrong button thus keeping the Falcon grounded. The map itself is, of course, quite alright.
14579: The female MP Spartan model would, when her shields were popped, suddenly become the male Spartan model. IT’S A TRAP.
Now the one with the female to male spartan model is just funny. I actually giggled a little bit.
Oh, and by the way, remember that little variant called "Race" in Halo 1, well it's back. And it's cool. They should have showed it at E3, but they didn't or something.
If you fall off the map, you'll be reset at a checkpoint, you can set laps, and best of all, Landmines! So according to Bungie, they just beat Forza Motor Sport.
On the topic of cinematics, apparently they got even better. Graphics are big to me, so this is a major plus. The cinematic team gets more time to work on the game before it comes out, so this things gonna look fresh to death.
They also mentioned something about Inclement Weather. Thor would be pleased? Please allow us to set weather on maps Bungie, and while your at it, add clan support.
